First Day of School and 6 months old!!!!!

On our way out the door to meet the school bus!!!

Hey Mom, you don't have to take all these pictures!

Watching for the bus!

Where am I going??

Am I getting on that thing?

Off I go to school!

Hey guys I am 6 months old today!!!

What a big day for the Loehr's!!!!  Maddy's first day of Pre-K age 4 and first time to ride the bus to school and home!  She was very curious to what was going on this morning.  She is use to hopping in daddy's truck and jamming to music with daddy on her way to school, but this morning was a little different.  Maddy will be riding the school bus this year.  She will be transported in her wheelchair which will be nice so we have it at home with us on the weekends.  Bobby rode the bus with her this morning and said she loved it!  She laughed at the bumps and loved when it came to a screeching stop!  Yay for Maddy being such a big girl today!!!  We are so very proud of you sweetie!!!!

Mr. Jackers turned 6 months old today!!!!  WOW, how the time flies....half a year gone!  He is just such a little joy everyday and has the biggest, bestest ;0) smile EVER!!!!!!!!!!!   He makes us laugh everyday and is such a little ham already!!!

Who does Jack look like?!?

Bobby

Jack

So we pulled out some pics of Bobby when he was a baby because when I was home in MN there were mixed comments of who Jack looks like?!?  When we looked at some of Bobby's baby pics there is quite a resemblence.  Minus the Kuno nose and the blue eyes, I think Jack is with out a doubt his daddy's mini me!!!!  I guess now I need to pull some baby pics out of me to compare!!!

 Tuckered Out!

 Our view from our Patio!

Taking a stroll on Lake Travis!  Maddy led the boat ride!!!
Loved swimming in the Lake when the boats went by she would get excited!

We have been enjoying the summer with many fun things happening.  Jack is growing by the minute!  He was 15 lbs 14 oz at his 4 mo check-up and he is in the 75%.......so Jack is on a little bit of a diet!  Not by his choice!  Ha ha!  We have managed to spread out the time intervals between feedings to 3 hours instead of two!  Yep, that's right.....this boy was eating 5 ounces every 2 hours and still getting up during the night for feedings!  Well the rug was pulled out for this little guy!  Veggies are now in his diet and he is doing great with his sweet peas, green beans and sweet potatoes!  Last week we stopped giving him his bottle at night and only offered paci and he was also moved into his own room and crib all at the same time!  First night he cried for 20 minutes and that was it!  Second night he took the paci and back to sleep!  WOW!!!  That was easy!  Now if he wakes up it is only for his paci and he is back to sleep!  He has even gotten so good we are starting to lay him in his crib still awake and letting him put himself to sleep.  No fussing and after about 5 minutes he is sweet dreaming!!!!  We are enjoying him so much and love watching him develop into all his new baby stages.  This is a whole new journey and we are blessed to have both children in our lives!  Maddy is doing great with PT and OT this summer.  Grandpa and Maddy head into Sugarland on Thursday's and enjoy their mornings out.  She is also doing Aquatic Therapy on Monday's, Hippo therapy on Tuesday's and lots of home therapy during the week with Nana!
We enjoyed the fourth of July with a visit from my brother and sister-in-law!  We rented a place on Lake Travis and enjoyed our stay at The Hollows so much we plan to return soon!  Lots of swimming, boating and enjoying wine on our patio with the spectacular view!  Thanks for coming to visit Mike and Jamie!  We enjoyed it so much!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much a we are!  Stay cool!!!!!

Future Ricebird!!!

I know I am a little behind again!!!!  But now you all have a whole bunch of pictures to look at!!!  I also posted some videos over the weekend and they are after this post!  Jack has become quite the little gabber!  Many words of wisdom from our little guy and he seems to have it all figured out......what time he should eat, when to go outside and who should be running for President...so don't miss his video below!  You just might gain some insight!!!  :)  Maddy has 2 more weeks of school left and then her summer schedule will start with lots of trips to Sugar Land for therapy.  She is taking an Aquatic Therapy class on Monday's with Mommy and then two other days of the week she will be getting OT and PT and Grandpa will be taking her to these sessions!  Hopefully she is easy on Grandpa this summer!  Let the summer chapter begin!!!  Bring on the heat!!!!

Happy Boy!

We cannot believe two months has already gone by and Jack is growing like a weed!!! We had his 2 month appt today so the poor guy got his shots. He was not happy but got over it quickly and is now sleeping the chaos away!!! He is still a little trooper for his age! 9 lbs 15oz. 10th percentile but with his reflux he is growing and keeping on weight which is the main thing. He was 22 1/4 long which was the 25% for his length. Dr. said he looks great and is moving like he should! It is funny with your second child how less "careful" per say you are. Madolyn had not even left the house barely at 2 months old and Jack has been on quite a few road trips already. He comes along to Maddy's Dr. appts in Houston, he went to his first movie and saw Rio, has taken in the Rabon Family Reunion 2011, been out to the bay, Grandpa Raymond's 80th birthday party up in Caldwell and even a little shopping with mama and nana! He is just along for the ride and loves to look around wherever we go! I have lots of news on Maddy and plan on updating her caringbridge when I get some time to sit down and sort through all of our new info! She has had a busy last couple weeks seeing her Neurologist and meetings with specialists!!! She is a proud big sister as you can see in the picture above. She has taken quite a liking to her little brother. She knows exactly who baby Jack is and she loves it when he comes to watch her swim in the evenings while she is doing therapy! I think she loves the crowd in the bathroom. The more the merrier for Maddy!!! It seems like she is pretty good at getting us all in their to see what she is doing!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Love to all!
