Well the title of the post explains it all. This project started out from one little Pinterest link that I had been looking for an answer to for a long time. See when they built our house I think they quite possibly picked the most inexpensive fixtures to finish it with. Our vanities in our bathroom were sufficient but they were laminate coated with white porcelain tops. Well over the years of cleaning with harsh chemicals that I no longer use thanks to Norwex :) they had yellowed. Now looking like white porcelain on top of almond vanities! YUCK! Well low-and-behold I saw you could peel off the laminate which would leave you with a beautiful ready to paint surface! So on my Monday off I started ripping away! Partially into the demolish I decided I should take pictures so excuse the mess!

Removed shower door...YUCK!!! I HATE SHOWER DOORS! They always have water spots and they ALWAYS have to be cleaned! NOW.....Just a new liner when the current one is getting shabby! Yeah for Bobby....he had shower duty!!! :)
Knocked down old white shower tile and ledge seat in shower. Which made much more room and we put two built-in shelves for shampoo and stuff! New shower head and knob and of course.....our rock floor which WE ARE IN AWE of!!! It feels like a massage on your feet!!!
Bobby's side! SO nice and neat!!!
Here is my color inspiration!!!
So all-in-all we feel like the "little DIY" was hit for sure!!! I love walking into my bathroom every morning now!!! It truly is the little things that keep us motivated!!!!
ENJOY!!!
